Portugal Smart Cities Summit

We were at the Portugal Smart Cities Summit sharing the latest developments of the Hub Criativo do Beato Living Lab and the steps we are taking towards a carbon neutral society.
José Mota Leal, Project Manager at Hub Criativo do Beato, explained which operations are currently transforming this innovation hub into a smart campus, such as Beato Biobus, which involved 3,500 students from 10 schools involved in collecting used cooking oil, the Clean Future acceleration program, and the installation of the Lisbon City Council's first cultivation beds in the Urban Agriculture operation on the rooftop of Factory Lisbon.

In the final phase is the installation of the Smart Street Lighting operation and studies of the Circular Food System that will evaluate the food chain of the Hub Criativo do Beato. The remaining operations, including the Smart Energy Community and HCB Sensing and Charging, remain in the implementation phase, thus moving towards a more sustainable and resilient future, with the determination to make a difference!
